Dovetail Review: Contract Terms & Data Export

Dovetail

Cloud dental practice management and EHR software launched in June 2013 by Gaargle Solutions of Montreal. Version 1.4 was certified to the US 2014 Edition EHR Modular (Ambulatory) criteria in January 2014. Planet DDS bought Dovetail in January 2022 and does not list it among its products. The dovetail.co address now resolves to a parked domain offered for sale. No prices are published.

How much does Dovetail cost?

Gaargle Solutions publishes no price for Dovetail, and no third-party listing gives one either. As of Oct 7, 2026, the only way to get a figure is to ask Gaargle Solutions for a written quote for your practice's size. That is worth knowing before a sales call: without a published list price there is nothing to check a proposal against, so ask what the figure covers, what renews, and what it costs to get your records out.

Each line carries the page that claim came from and the date we checked it. "Included" means the base product or the cheapest paid tier. A capability with no line here is one we have not checked on Dovetail, which is a different statement from one we checked and could not establish.
